| | Description: | Our client is a highly recognizable global conglomerate with interest and infrastructure throughout the world in a multitude of markets. We are currently conducting a search for a Sr. Product/Process Engineer in the company's Electronics Materials Group located in New England.
The position will service both R&D Director and the Process Engineering functions.
Responsibilities include:
o identifying best practices for key products and processes
o work with R&D on new product developments and communicate regularly on the new product development process
o provide expertise and serve as product champion at major customer installations of new products
o provide expertise during critical troubleshooting with customers
o ensure field staff and customer awareness of EH&S aspects of product and process
o conduct customer audit for information on equipment and chemistry specifications
o identify potential product installation risks based upon audit findings and known performance
o tailor installation plans to maximize success
o conduct new product presentations at customer sites as needed
o ensure that best practices are communicated to appropriate sales company personnel, and to business manager in all regions
o prepare training material for new processes and provide training to sales company personnel
o utilize Six Sigma, DOE and FMEA techniques to troubleshoot and optimize processes
Requirements:
o Minimum BS in Science discipline or related field (PhD preferred)
o Educational focus in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science or Solar Cell Device Physics is preferred
o Minimum of five years experience working in semiconductor or printed wire board industry
o Demonstrated experience working with crystalline silicon solar cell processing and characterization
o Experience working with wet chemical plating and photoresist processing
o Demonstrated experience working with customers during new product installations and product performance troubleshooting
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
o Ability to travel internationally over 50% often with short notice with an emphasis on Asia
o Ability to speak Mandarin would be viewed as a great advantage
