| | Description: | Our client is a multi-site international manufacturer of specialty materials used in fabrication of high performance and high frequency dependent electronic systems. Their products are used in a variety of applications including wireless communications , military and commercial avionics, and semiconductor test and measurement equipment. The Sr. Applications Engineer is responsible for the development of product testing requirements for new and existing products relative to key application requirements and for supporting these products through qualification at key OEMs and fabricators.
Responsibilities:
•Regularly interact with Product Development to understand new materials and processes, and develop testing/evaluation plans that will facilitate evaluation/approval by OEM designers.
•Assist in “product championing” during the prototype & introduction phase of new products. This includes such activities as product benchmark testing, literature (data sheets, process guides) development, presentation material development, technical article development, and conducting presentations at key OEM’s and industry seminars to introduce the product.
•Establish relationship with design decision-makers and other influences on electronic materials at selected OEM’s. Identify product requirements for existing and new programs. Support sales to obtain specification position for the appropriate product(s).
•On a continuing basis through contracts with OEM’s and key fabricators, identify new market opportunities for product development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in technology plus 5 to 7 years engineering experience, preferably within the field of PCB fabrication, design and testing. Past experience should be in process, product, or applications engineering.
Must currently reside in S.CA as relocation assistance is not attached to this offering.
